update on project status

after coducting a workshop with the Eugene Book Arts exhibit, we went on to hold a second workshop at the Baazar on the UO campus. both went extremely well. The book arts workshop was in the Eugene Public Library and we shared the space with about fifteen other book artists demonstrating techniques ranging from paper making to restoration. The event was made possible with the help of Jennifer Rowan at the AAA library. thanks Jennifer.
The Bazaar workshop was tons of fun becuase we brought in piles of discarded 3 X 5" photos for people to dig through. We used a drill and a jig to make japanese style books that are a lot quicker than the traditional monastic technique we teach in our zine. This allowed people to make books in fifteen minutes instead of two hours. We used the table I built for A Harbingerous Happening from a recycled door with the knob still in tact. The legs were re-used piping donated by Eddy the maintenence guy. The Bazaar was a hootin and hollerin blast and the highest energy workshop yet.
