workshop at smith family

i can't say without a hitch, becuase it took until 2 oclock for people to show up, but it sure was a fun workshop. We counted up at monroe st afterward and we think that we helped ten books come into this world beside the maybe eight that we made amongst ourselves. Kyle showed up at noon, about half an hour after jason showed up to make his book. They both got one done and took off, and about two oclock things were pretty slow. I was working on my third book when a girl named dove walked up and asked what we were doing. I think Christina sent her our way, but she decided to stay, and she made a book then went on to start her second. she'd been there 15 minutes when another person showed up and started in on a book. Within the hour we had about six more, all working on their own book. We were hard pressed to keep everybody on track, and things just started moving. Three people saw our posters and came, and they all fit our target audience. One of them was a woman who was eating breakfast at morning glory, couldn;t stop thinking about her friend who had tried to kil himself the night before. She saw our poster and realized that she needed to make him a book, so she walked over and checked it out. She told me that and I couldn't believe it, this is why, I supposed, we are doing this, do give people the opportunity to tell their own story.
